Here for the Heart &Soul

Providing dignity, comfort, and family-focused support

At Holly’s Haven, we believe that every act of kindness has the power to bring light to life’s most tender moments. As the volunteer branch of Anchor of Hope Hospice, our program exists to connect compassionate hearts with meaningful ways to serve – offering presence, peace, and care to patients and families across Central Indiana.

Anchor of Hope Hospice is a family-owned and operated organization serving both the Dallas–Fort Worth and Indianapolis areas. The mission is simple yet profound: to provide compassionate, individualized hospice care that honors each person’s story.

Every patient is treated like family – with dignity, comfort, and unwavering respect. Through Holly’s Haven, volunteers become an extension of that mission. Together, we bring warmth and connection to patients and families walking through life’s final chapters.

Compassion in Action

Holly’s Haven was founded to make it easy for people with a heart for service to find their place in hospice care. Whether you have a few hours a week or a heart full of time to give, your presence matters deeply.

Our volunteers help by:

  • Offering companionship and conversation to patients
  • Providing administrative support that keeps hospice operations running smoothly
  • Sharing the comfort of therapy animals
  • Using their unique gifts – music, art, writing, or simply listening – to lift spirits and create meaningful moments

Each volunteer is trained and supported by our compassionate team, ensuring that both patients and volunteers feel equipped, cared for, and connected.

Meet our volunteer coordinator

At the heart of Holly’s Haven is our volunteer coordinator, Ashley Golberding, who ensures every volunteer feels guided, appreciated, and part of the Anchor of Hope family.

“Volunteers are the heartbeat of our hospice,” Ashley shares. “Every visit, every smile, every moment of presence is a reminder that love and dignity can exist even in the hardest times. My role is to help each volunteer find where their heart fits best – because there’s truly a place for everyone here.”

Ashley works closely with both new and seasoned volunteers to match them with opportunities that align with their skills, passions, and availability – creating a supportive, rewarding experience from the very first day.

At Holly’s Haven, we know that hospice care is about heart.

Through every visit, every smile, and every shared story, our volunteers help Anchor of Hope Hospice continue its mission of providing dignity, comfort, and family-oriented support to those in their care.

If you’ve ever felt called to serve, we’d be honored to help you find your place in our volunteer community.
